----------MANAGEMENT----------

Care Link Transportations is run by Mr. Mohamed Mohamud. Mr. Mohamud began his management training in 1997, while working for Alcoa Fujikura Ltd. in Alpharetta, Georgia.  During that time, Mr. Mohamud worked as process engineering technician supervising three departments among other responsibilities and learned, practiced using several teamwork management concepts, which he has later implemented in several Seattle, Washington transportation companies with great success.

In 2003, after learning the skill of how to be a town car/ limo operator, Mr. Mohamud established his own transportation company, which he developed and managed for three years. Thereafter, he sold that company and started working with a contractor of Hopelink Transportation to provide transportation services to DSHS clients needing transportation to medical facilities and schools.

In addition to his experiences with Hopelink Transportation, Mr. Mohamud further honed his skills in the transportation business, when he began working with the first ever wheelchair accessible taxi service pilot project in King County, Washington. As a consulting manager of Washington Accessible Taxis LLC, Mr. Mohamud was responsible for the introduction, development, and implementation of “team work concepts” and management practices, for the company. Additionally, his duties included reorganization of the company, which entailed positioning the company for further expansion, addition of new fleets which resulted in 100% expansion of the project from eight vans to sixteen van fleet, managing over 35 drivers and associates and increasing revenue. Aside from managing the company, he was also responsible for overseeing the daily dispatch overflow from Laidlaw Transit Services Inc, supervision of daily business operations, and reporting project data to King County as required.

The 3 year successful conclusion of the pilot project established an amendment to the Seattle and King County Taxi licenses issuance ordinances and resulted in awarding 45 permanent dual wheelchair accessible taxi licenses to qualified operators to provide taxi services to the special needs population in the County.
